I kicked off my professional journey back in 1982, donning the hat of a computer programmer. Fast forward to 1996, after an extensive stint in direct marketing under the Californian sun, I decided to shape my own path. Thus, Global Marketing & Information Technology (GMIT) was born, with a keen focus on database marketing. The Oracle database management skills I brought to the table turned out to be quite the hot commodity, leading me down the path of database leadership and decrease my focus on database marketing.
As the dot-com era exploded in the late ’90s, I snagged GMIT.COM, a decision that has stuck with me ever since. Little did I know then that this domain would serve as a steadfast anchor, providing a stable long-term identity for me and my family.
Over the years, my website meandered without a specific form or purpose. That is until now. My diagnosis and journey through Mantel Cell Lymphoma (MCL) gave GMIT.COM a new calling – a space to share my experiences, struggles, and triumphs.
Today, Wisconsin is home, and my focus has shifted towards the vast realm of AWS Cloud computing. Additionally, I’m delving into the exciting potential of generative AI, exploring its positive applications.
